"The Owner" - Exclusive Sneak-Peak Screening

CollabFeature has announced a May 25 worldwide exclusive screening of its first global collaborative film, “The Owner.” In an industry first: 25 filmmakers from 13 countries including South Africa, China, Lebanon, Germany, France, and the U.S. joined forces to write, direct, and locally produce segments for the film, which brings together a variety of cultures, languages, and film styles into a singular narrative plot.

The film follows a backpack on a journey around the world, intersecting the lives of dozens of fascinating characters along the way. As the story progresses, we learn details about a mysterious man, known only as Mr. MacGuffin, to whom the bag possibly belongs.

This is the first-ever feature film to be written entirely via Internet collaboration, as most of the filmmakers have never met in person. “The Owner” will have simultaneous premiere screenings in each of the nineteen cities in which it was filmed, organized by each local filmmaker.
